A Time for Joy and Celebration

The air is getting cool and crisp.   People are making plans, gathering with family and friends.  It’s exciting as we talk about old times, these times and the times to come.  Knowing we are blessed we often reach out to bless others.  Our hearts full of the Love born of this season.

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Many Hands Make Light Work

Many thanks to all of the Volunteers who along with Members donated materials and time to make our ‘Be a Shoemaker’ event successful.  We were able to cut fabric and plastic patterns to assemble 80 pairs of shoes!  There are women continuing work to complete 150 total pairs.

We worked as an assembly line.

The cut and pinned shoe materials will be sent to Uganda in April.  In Uganda the patterned materials are assembled and sewn into the completed shoe.
