How We Work

We pool our resources.

Women4given members commit to an annual contribution of $365. There are NO other fundraisers. All contributions are 100% tax deductible.

We do our homework.

The Grants Task Force (GTF) researches the needs in our community and selects non-profit organizations who are meeting those needs to submit grant proposals. The GTF develops guidelines, reviews proposals, conducts on-site evaluations of non-profit organizations and assembles a ballot. The entire Women4given membership makes the final grant decisions by voting. Our granting process begins each year in January and ends in May when the grant is awarded.

We make an impact.

By pooling our funds, we are able to respond to community-wide needs with substantial focused grants.

We volunteer.

Women4given members and guests volunteer in the community, serving non-profit agencies. We have served meals to the homeless at shelters and churches, assembled, bagged, and delivered food for needy families, volunteered at Convoy of Hope and other community events, served at youth centers, and more. Volunteering is a great way to get to know non-profits and understand the needs in our community.

Last year some members of your group reached out and helped pack for the Mascoutah Weekend Meals Program. At the time we were not officially a non-profit organization, but since have gaine 501(c)3 status and were wondering how to apply for one of your grants. Please let me know what information you need or forms that need to be completed to apply.

      Hi Rhonda,

Thank you for contacting us. Congratulations on receiving your 501(c)3 status. Our theme this year is focused on childhood literacy so our 2019 grant award will go to a nonprofit with a focus on literacy. We often do additional smaller grants if we have the funding available so I would like to keep in touch with your organization. If you can send me your contact information, phone number, website, and a brief statement of an amount you could use for a specific need to our email address at I will forward it to our grants committee and keep you on our radar. We will see what we can do.
