We Need You! (to be involved as much as you want)

In Women4given, we want our members to be involved as much or as little as they want.

We are asking you to let us know how much you want to be involved during the 2015-2016 year by filling out this survey. There are three levels of involvement:

1. Financial Membership
Our membership requirements are simple: over the course of a year, give a dollar a day. Many of our members are involved at the financial level of membership, simply writing a check annually. Without these Financial Members we wouldn’t have the funds needed to give impactful grants.

Financial Members form the bedrock of Women4given’s structure.

2. Activity Membership
Some members are invested a bit more, giving their $365 per year as well as serving on the Program, Membership, or Communications Committees, participating in volunteer activities, or attending quarterly programs. Activity Members become informed about the needs in our community and accordingly give their time to serve agencies that help women and children.

Activity Members are the strong steel beams of which our walls are built, making internal growth and community impact possible.

3. Leader Membership
A number of members contribute to Women4given by leading. Leadership Members join or co-chair the Grants Task Force (which steers the annual grant-awarding process); lead Volunteer, Program, or Membership Committees; or serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors.

Leadership Members have the unique opportunity to work together as a team of architects, designing a giving circle that builds upon bedrock and coordinates steel beams—all to the glory of God.

From volunteer activities to the Program Committee to Chaplain to Chair of Communications (and many more opportunities), there’s a place in Women4given just for you.

Little or Much

Among Women4given’s members are full-time professionals and stay-at-home moms, retirees and school teachers—women in every season of life.

What do they have in common? They make giving a high priority.

What else do they have in common? They’re busy.

Caring for grandchildren, caring for parents, managing employees in distant cities, managing students in their classrooms, leading Bible studies, volunteering their time in a variety of ways—we understand that women are busy!

When Kathy O’Dell founded Women4given, she and her planning team wanted all women to know that they could join an organization like Women4given by taking this stance:
You can be involved as little or as much as you like!

It’s refreshing, really. We believe that people ought to give freely and cheerfully, not out of obligation. That’s why we won’t chase you down in the grocery store to insist that you help the Volunteer Services Team sort newborn layettes.

However, if you want to be more involved, opportunities abound.

For instance, you might choose to actively contribute to the grants research process, chair a committee or team, or serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors.

Or, if you have less time to commit, you might participate in fun volunteer activities throughout the month or attend informative membership gatherings held four times a year.

Or, if you simply want to make your annual donation of $365 and cast a vote for your favorite grant applicants, we are thrilled to have you.

We know that even when our members can’t be present or offer their leadership skills, we are united in mission: to encourage generosity in order to serve women and children in Christian love. And together, we’re making a difference.
